Tis the Season... to shop small

My first blog post! Now I have momentum on my side!!

As the winter season draws near I am writing to say that this year, of all years…. Is a great chance to change how we view Holiday shopping. Due to the physical, emotional, and financial strain of the pandemic, our usual traditions will not be the same

….and I think that is ok.

I hope we all can find the little blessings. I hope we all embrace the change and submit to the simpler times. I hope charity and empathy reign. I hope that the experience and intent of gift giving is much greater than the gift itself.

If you do buy gifts, please consider your local small businesses first. They are the backbone of your community. Many small businesses will do everything they can to make sure your shopping is safe and convenient for you. If you are not holiday shopping, please consider supporting your local businesses through the power of social media. Instead of doom scrolling… turn your screen time into a positive and take a moment to recommend, share, or like. Your “thumbs up” matters!
